====== Miscellaneous Questions ====== ===== My character has died, now what? ===== If one of your characters has died it is not the end of the world. Unless otherwise stated, you can make a new character. However if one of your characters dies, you cannot make a new character that is identical in every regard to your old one. Even though this is a world where some [[megamanx:reploid|reploids]] are mass produced, many of them still have distinct personalities and differences that set them apart... Even when they're the 1300th in a series. Though if your character was a prototype or extremely customized reploid then it would make sense that they wouldn't likely be mass produced, due to cost, and so they wouldn't have an identical version ready to go. ===== I wasn't present during , did I miss it? ===== The way it works is that if you don't post, your character is still treated as if they were present for everything mission related. So this way all you have to do is read back and you can figure out what is going on. So any upgrades/enhancements or issues your character already has or knows about. That means if the group gets a new weapon (like one gained from a maverick) even if you didn’t post for that part, you also get one. However, if you miss a significant amount of time or events then your character is up to be used as an NPC for some events. ===== An official character did , Can I do that? ===== It really depends on what they did... You can ask for clarification on specific circumstances, but for the most part you should just go with the idea that you can't. This is particularly true when an official character brings down an enemy or wins in //vastly// overwhelming odds. As a side note, the official characters are by far stronger than player characters. And if the official character struggles with a fight then player characters should NEVER be able to waltz right in and "clean shop" (as this is godmodding). ===== I didn't read the rules/faq, now what? ===== **If an issue results?** You may have to because you may not be allowed to join the game or continue until you read them and fix an issue. \\ **If no issue results?** You might want to anyway, just to prevent possible issues. But it's your call if you want to ignore them. (Just please understand that if you ignore them and an issue arises due to it... then it's entirely on you.) The rules and faq were posted for a reason. (To help clear up misunderstandings and set boundaries for the game.) So blatantly ignoring them only sets yourself up for issues because you have no idea what is and isn't allowed. To be perfectly clear, please even bother trying to use the excuse about the rules being too long so you couldn't read them. Those documents are in place for everyone's benefits (game creator and players alike). And if you can't be bothered to, at least, read the rules and/or skim the FAQ's question list then you should consider whether you should join this roleplay or not. ===== What can I do with mavericks? ===== You can do basically anything with them… The only things you shouldn’t really do are: - Have the maverick attack themselves. (They're smart enough not to just blindly injure themselves in a fight.) - Have the maverick attack his fellow mavericks without a good reason. ( Mavericks are not exactly best of friends, but they are all united under a common cause. So that means they aren't going to be out to kill each other... at least not right away.) - Attempt to infect or convert the hunters. (Most mavericks aren't interesting in building their ranks, they're typically more interested in killing all hunters.) - Attempt to switch sides. (Mavericks are just that… mavericks. They are wanted by the Hunters, often for a good reason, and so there is no way a hunter would allow a maverick to join them.)
