Appearance

Quake Earthworm is a rather odd looking reploid. His head is the actual worm, while the rest of his body resembles a separate robot body, despite the two are actually fused. Quake's body is brown and has loads of small nicks and dings in the armor from all the underground work. His biceps are brown as is his hands. The hands actually retract to allow him to access his buster, which is how he drills. His legs are rather small and anemic looking despite they hold his weight, they aren't capable of quick movements. They are brown as well with a few small brown spikes that poke out slightly from the feet.

Weapons: His hands/drills.

Items: None.

Special Attacks:

  1. Splint Rock – Buster – Fires a fragment of slate from the buster that shatters on impact to send mini bits of shrapnel flying about
  2. Catastrophic chasm – Z saber – A diving move that pounds the ground and sends powerful shockwaves racing towards the enemy, it severely disrupts movement and when the shockwave actually hits, it sends a pillar of rock bursting from the ground to smash the target.
  3. Crushing Stone – Knuckle – Smashing the fist into the ground, can rip large rocks directly from the ground to heave at the enemy.
  4. Drill shooter – A large drill erupts from the buster and can be fired forward. These drills also can be loaded with small but powerful explosive charges for Quake to use to help dig through rock or demolish solid stone.
  5. Colossal cavein – Overdrive – He fires several exploding Drill Shooters, then smashes the ground about until rocks either spring from it or fall from the ceiling overhead. Once the rocks begin to move and fall, Quake fires the splint rock move into the falling rocks to create a pinball effect of falling rocks and splintering shots.

Special Abilities: Working with the ground has left Quake nearly immune to electricity, energy based, fire or cold techniques.

Background

Personality: Quake was a rather humorous reploid, he always enjoyed telling jokes and making fun of things. When he wasn’t working he frequently enjoyed visiting comedy clubs and whatnot. But once he became a maverick his sense of humour took a sadistic twist. He now enjoys breaking his opponents in whatever sick and demented ways he can. He often enjoys toying with his opponents and breaking their spirits before killing them.

History: A tunnel building reploid that was working to dig for a new mine in the southern Americas. But Quake had returned to the city to meet with the organizers of the mining company after investigating the site to brief them on the findings. But when Quake returned, he was infected by the rogue maverick: Shock Scorpion…

Behind the Maverick

Quake Earthworm was influenced by the videogame/cartoon character Earthworm Jim. Being a worm based reploid originally created for mining, having a brown colour scheme fit (and would have been almost impossible to avoid given that any mining would have ended up in the character almost permanently being turned brown from the dirt.)
