Its a robot with high mobility and a great offense. It was designed for New Type pilots giving it an edge over anything that had been created at the current time. X Factor The MK2 sentinel had the ability to adapt to opponents and a powerful self-repair capability.

Judges Analysis

Short Range - I give this one to Gundam NT-1 Alex because the shield can be used both offensively and defensively. Given that most gundam shields are capable of stopping beam sabers, it means that Sentinel's heat vision might not be very effective against it.

Medium Range - I give this the edge to the Sentinel because it's electron blaster has a longer range than the beam saber, plus due to it's electric basis, it has the ability to disrupt the Gundam's systems while destroying them. Even if the blast hits the shield, it may be able to pass to the Gundam through the shield.

Long Range - I give this to the Gundam because the beam rifle is extremely accurate, exceptionally long ranged, quite powerful can be used single handedly with the shield. Making it a perfect weapon for taking out a sentinel via headshot.

Special weapon - I give the edge to the Sentinel for the disintegration beam. A weapon to be used purely against inorganic matter, it destroys inorganic matter with ease. Making it a perfect weapon to ruin a shield, eat through armor or internal components of a Gundam. (Does not harm a human though.) The Gundam's Gatling guns are powerful, no doubt, but they don't have the same level of power.

Just to make it fair, this battle takes place in space, halfway between the moon and Earth. (This gives optimal mobility for the Gundam and the Sentinel.)

Results

Gundam NT-1 Alex defeated the Sentinel (MK2) due to the New Type pilot being able to predict enemy movements, the Gundam's Minovsky particle (emitted from Gundam's thrusters) which theoretically may interfere with Sentinel's scanners and the Gundam's powerful weaponry.
