Normal Appearance
Tristy is blue eyed with fair white skin and lightish brown hair falling down below her shoulders. Her default attire is a white colored jumpsuit, over which she wears a flowing white and blue battle dress. The dress reaches down to her ankles and splits open at the legs allowing for freedom of movement and preventing her from tripping over her own clothes. A flap-like skirt goes down the front and back of the multi layered outfit, which is threaded with metalic fibers for the most flexible defense possible. Tristy has also shown a fondness for long, white gloves, but she is forced to remove them in battle because of their tendancy to impede the ice attacks she generates from her palms.
While stylish and elegant, Tristy's battle dress is now always the most suitable for missions. When stealth is called for, Tristy can transform her attire into a skintight black and blue jumpsuit, which also comes with tied back hair and face paint.
Neither outfit offers much in the way of protection, meaning Tristy's defensive capabilities are roughly those of an average reploid. Instead, her armor prioritizes flexability of movement, allowing her to use her skills to their fullest extent. However, when the situation requires it, Tristy can form a layer of ice armor around herself, augmenting her defenses slightly.
Hypermode Appearance
Despite being a new generation reploid, Tristy has been known to transform into an enigmatic huntress covered in heavy, crystal blue armor. Tristy has no memory of ever meeting the huntress, but her similar, albeit enhanced fighting style and its tendancy to manifest in times of danger has led Dr. Prowers to question whether the transformation is not in fact a hyper mode of sorts.
The crystal huntress is covered from head to toe in clear, mirrorlike armor. Its polished surface has been known to reflect both light and smaller energy attacks. The chestpiece and helmet are both rounded and simple in appearance, the helmet's only feature being a slit at the eyes for sight and a grate where the mouth should be. Long unkempt green hair drapes out the back, rounding out the peculiar appearance with a manelike appearance.

Weapons/Special Attacks
Weapons:
Crystal Staff - Long brown staff of unknown origin. A clear blue crystal sits atop one end, which is used for freezing enemies and unleashing other attacks. The other end of the staff can be fitted with a removable blade, allowing Tristy to wield the staff like a lance.
Colt Pythons - A pair of .357 caliber revolvers strapped to Tristy's hips, modified to fire several types of magnum rounds. Not as powerful as many types of busters, but they are prized by Tristy for their craftsmanship.
Items:
Special Attacks:
- Projectile Deflection - By rapidly spinning her staff, Tristy can deflect most projectiles away from her.
- Mist Cloud - Tristy can release clouds of cool mist from the crystal at the end of her staff, which spreads to about a 7×7 foot area (works better if used indoors.) Anyone inhaling the mist will immediately become drowsy, dropping into sleep for about an hour, less if the surrounding area is noisy.
- Ice Crystal - The tip of Tristy's staff is ice cold, freezing anything it touches over a matter of seconds. Getting struck with it won't do much more than give off a cold shock, but sustained contact allows ice to form over the subject, slowing moter functions, blood flow and thought process. If contact is maintained, the object will freeze solid, allowing limbs to be broken off, armor cracked, ect. This effect is passive, and always active.
- Ice Armor - Tristy can absorb some of the cold air around her and manifest it as armor around her body, increasing her defense by one point for every two skill points. The armor is fairly durable, and as long as Tristy grips her staff the cold energy to support it will constantly be fed into her. The armor can be negated completely however, with a blast of fire.
- Frost Vortex - Since being fitted with an ice core, Tristy has gained the ability to generate cold energy within her body independant from her staff. This energy can be focused through circle shaped holes in the palms of her hands, emitting a cone shaped vortex of cold which spreads out as it travels away from her until it dissipates completely. The cold energy will quickly slow anything in front of her to a slow walk, as if they were trudging through a blizzard.
- Frozen Spread - Tristy gathers cold energy in her hands and slams it into the ground. The energy spreads out in a circle, about five yards on all sides of her creating a sheet of ice along the ground and freezing in place anything caught in it up to their ankles. This attack is resisted by their strength pitted against Tristy's skill level. If strength is equal or higher they'll be able to break free almost immediately, within three points it might take them about thirty seconds. Any lower than that and the enemy will be stuck for several minutes chipping away at the ice with their weapons. Fire will melt the ice away immediately however.
Other Skills: Tristy is an accomplished hand to hand combatant, having been programmed with knowledge of several types of martial arts. She is also a guns enthusiast, having an encyclopedic knowledge and passion for them. Finally, Tristy is capable of many gymnastic feats.
Background
Personality: Somewhat uncaring about the outside world, Tristy is quiet, polite and completely devoted to her master, Dr. Prowers, and will gladly preform any task for him, even if it means risking her own life. Although pleased to have such a devoted servant, Dr. Prowers has tried to get her interested in molding her own identity seperate from him. As a hunter, Tristy has shown to be defiant toward authority, and suspitious of others who might threaten Prowers. She has shown capacity for friendship however, in regard to Junas and Gyro, however the inexperience or bad decision making on the part of other hunters has caused her great annoyance.
History: Tristy was a New Generation Reploid, created in 2173 and mass produced like many others and sold to the highest bidder. She and Viktor were both purchased by a kind elderly man named Doctor Prowers to serve as his bodyguards and household assistants. During the first stages of the Jakkob incident, a Dr. Prowers powered down his robots, hoping that they wouldn't get swept up in the uprising and catch the maverick virus. When it was revealed that the New Type Reploids had gone maverick by choice Tristy scoffed at the idea of turning on her master who breathed a sigh of relief.
Months later, Prowers received a frantic transmission from one of his colleges, a Dr. Ziedler of Germany. Apparently he'd come under attack by mavericks and was sending his last creation to Prowers for completion as well as the hope that he'd keep it safe. The unfinished reploid was delivered discretely days later and in that time Prowers had notified the maverick hunters of Ziedler's claims. The hunters returned with sad verification, Ziedler's lab had been completely gutted, and Ziedler with it.
The next day Prowers had come to a decision. The maverick hunters were obviously shorthanded so he'd send one of his robots to join them, if only for a short time. If they could do some good, perhaps prevent more deaths like Ziedler's then it would all be worth it. Prowers had considered sending Viktor, but in the end he decided on Tristy in hopes that sending her out into the world would force her to develop an identity of her own.
Tristy was initially filled with anxiety and worry when she was separated from Prowers, particularly when her powers began to manifest in strange and inexplicable ways. One such manifestation was the transformation into a huntress in a heavy suit of polished armor during times of great danger. Usually a new generation reploid could only mimic forms and abilities of beings they’d encountered previously, yet Tristy had never glimpsed this woman, and she fought in the same manner as usual – albeit with heightened abilities. Prowers theorized that this unknown warrior might have been the physical manifestation of Tristy’s complete battle prowess, subconsciously drawn out in times of need. Tristy at first wanted no part of it, being somewhat afraid of growing cold and comfortable with such violent efficiency. Prowers was also worried, hoping that sending her out to experience life outside his lab would help her to develop as a person, not simply as a fighter.
Some time later Tristy received emergency summons from Prowers, an unknown group of mavericks had attacked his lab, presumably to seize Ziedler’s reploid which Prowers had been completing. Tristy was able to save Prowers and prevent the reploid from being stolen, but it came at a cost; Tristy was badly injured and her partner unit Viktor was missing and presumed killed. Prowers took the opportunity to upgrade Tristy’s core to generate its own coolant, protecting her from overheating and granting her new ice abilities which she could channel through her hands.
The attack distressed Tristy greatly as her primary concern was Prowers’ safety. As it turned out however, Prowers was hired by the hunters to work in their R&D department, as well as given lodging and the means to complete the reploid, which he intended to donate to the hunters after its completion. The hunters in turn were pleased to protect one of their citizens, and even more pleased at the prospect of adding a new hunter to the force permanently. Hestin, one of the field commanders on loan from England even commented that he was “built like a tank.” At the same time Prowers noted that Ziedler’s reploid lacked certain aspects that he hoped to incorporate into future reploids.
By this time Tristy began to adjust to her now life with the hunters and bonded with several members of her team, particularly the childlike Gyro and the commander Junas, who was a maverick hunter on loan from Spain. Over the course of their missions together Tristy and Junas saved each other’s lives many times, and a mutual attraction began to develop between the pair. However the untimely death of Gyro, and Tristy’s growing suspicion that Junas was a double agent prevented their relationship from going any further.
As Tristy’s unit succeeded in disrupting more and more of the enemy schemes the mavericks grew desperate, and in direct retaliation for shutting down several of their production facilities they took control of a nuclear powerplant. Tristy knew that it was likely a trap, but nonetheless her team was dispatched to handle the situation. Just as her team was about to enter the facility, Tristy had a terrifying premonition, feeling strongly that if she did not return now to Hunter HQ that she would never have a chance to mend the fissure that had grown Junas and herself. Furthermore, her primary programming directive was to ensure the safety of Dr. Prowers, and she wouldn't be able to do that if she were killed. Her commander, Solo, looked shocked as Tristy warped out, and it was possible that her other companions felt betrayed, but as it turned out abandoning the mission saved her life. Minutes later the reactor went critical, resulting in roughly 8 million deaths. Prowers wept with joy when he discovered that Tristy had survived, and she and Junas made amends. Tristy returned to work with a renewed sense of purpose.
Though her superiors were initially suspitious, Tristy was ruled out as a co-conspirator. With her team dead, they were in need of hunters more than ever before, and her battle prowess recognized it was decided that Tristy be promoted to a Class A Hunter and paired full time with Junas rather than assigning her to a new unit of rookies. As team Frozen Hell, Tristy and Junas took on a number of high profile missions and helped X and Zero to bring a swift end to the new uprising.
Months later Prowers had completed Ziedler’s reploid and was well on the way to completing two more based on its schematics, and he’d decided it was time he moved back into his old laboratory. As a sort of homecoming ceremony, Junas was to arrive and take possession of the newly completed reploid, codenamed Tank, and induct him as a full maverick hunter. At the same time, Tristy intended to step down and retire, at least temporarily, and return to her primary duty as Prower’s caretaker. The doctor was quite old now and had begun to grow sickly, and Tristy was determined to make sure that his remaining time was spent as comfortably as possible.
But fate had other plans for Tristy, as Prower’s second reploid Viktor had returned “from the dead.” Although Viktor had been deactivated during the insurrection of Lumine, he had sympathized with his cause after learning what had transpired. He now intended to spark another rebellion and eliminate the older generation of reploids, which he considered to be flawed. He’d reached his breaking point after nearly being killed in defense of Prowers and the unfinished Tank, whom he considered to be inferior due to his status as an old generation reploid. He’d only returned now to wipe out Prowers and Tank, and kill or convert Tristy to his cause, believing her to be the only threat to his plans for rebellion.
Tristy’s last known battle was valorous, and though she defeated Viktor in combat he was able to reach Prowers and threaten his life. Tristy had no choice but to surrender. Viktor brutally deactivated his former partner, but as he relished his victory Prowers hurriedly activated Tank forcing Viktor to take Tristy’s body and flee. Prowers hurried after them into the street and dropped to his knees, lost in sorrow as Tank stood stoically behind him. And so it was that Junas arrived on the scene to take possession of the new hunter and bid farewell to his partner. He would never see Tristy again.

Behind the Character
I knew I didn't just want Jet, Tank and Sub to appear out of thin air, there had to be a reason for their existance, and maybe even a reason for their different personalities despite all being built by the same man. Tristy gave me that chance, to tell the story before my story and pave way for my main heroes. Despite her being the closest thing Jet would ever have to a mother, I also knew her story had to be cut tragicly short, not every hero gets their happy ending. Tristy's role was to play a part, and to show that sometimes our destinies are chosen for us.
