Vs
Sephiroth, infused with both Jenova cells and high levels of Mako then trained to extreme levels, he is the ultimate soldier of the Shin-Ra organization… Until he went rogue and tried to destroy the planet.

- Nero's Red Queen and Devil Bringer
Judge's Analysis
Close Range - Both weapons are equal. The Red Queen can light itself on fire and Sephiroth's blade can cut through nearly anything.
Medium Range - Edge to Sephiroth because his Shadow Flare launches 3 orbs of dark energy that can travel further than the Devil Bringer, and more can be launched in quicker succession. The Devil Bringer is primarily a support weapon, enabling Nero to pull enemies to him but on it's own it does no damage. The Devil Buster is the offensive portion, but it only allows him to slam the enemy about a bit, which wouldn't be very difficult to kill Sephiroth with only that.
Long Range - Edge to Sephiroth because the line slicer cuts though metal very easily (though not magically enhanced metal like Nero's Blue Rose Revolver which fires Demon energy shots). It does a lot of damage and moves fairly quickly. Nero's Blue Rose shots are fast, but not particularly powerful (unless charged up… But that takes time. Time Nero may not get in a fight since Sephiroth likes to stay fairly close.)
Special - Edge to Nero. The Yamato/Devil Trigger combo is absolutely lethal. Not only does it enhance Nero's, already formidable, abilities significantly, but it allows him to regenerate and launch extremely powerful attacks using Yamato. The Supernova is powerful, but it is only one attack. The Devil Trigger/Yamato combo is a series of attacks and offensive bonuses that last a while.
Results
While Nero was a strong contender, he was no match for Sephiroth's speed, techniques and masterful swordsmanship.
