Giga City is a massive, human/reploid created floating platform that sits somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. It operates independently (relying only on it's own facilities to provide food, electricity and goods).

Located NorthEast of the Central Tower, the Lagrano section was originally a research lab. The exact nature of experiments conducted here was unknown. Most of them were suspected to be revolving around Force Metals or New Generation Reploids.

After Epsilon went berserk it was destroyed and left to become the Lagrano Ruins.

After Epsilon's uprising, the Lagrano Lab was rebuilt and turned into a new R&D lab (which spends most of it's time researching armour).

The main hub of Giga city. Each other section connects to this section.

This area originally served as the administration area for the entire island. It also serves as a makeshift Hunter base when hunters are called into the island.

This area features a large shopping district with several stores carrying weapons, armour, equipment, collectibles, and other goods. It also has a teleportation system to allow users to move quickly to any section of Giga City.

Though if the teleporter is down or unable to be used, Central Tower does have an airbus to allow transport to other areas (though it's much slower).

Located Northwest of the Central Tower, this is one of island's mines that was used to dig up Force Metal as well as other materials.

During Epsilon's uprising this area was abandoned and then was converted into a Prisoner of War Camp.

After the uprising, with the mining operation having ceased and Epsilon having converted it into a POW Camp… this was temporarily used as a prison to contain their most dangerous criminals. (At least until Hunter HQ could arrange for them to be transported to a more secure facility.) Though once the prisoners were removed from the island, Tianna Mine returned to it's mining operation origin and provided various raw materials to be refined in Melda Ore Plant and later used in Ulfat Factory.

Located directly East of the Central Tower, this area was originally created to help clean up pollution left by humans. It housed a forest of large organic/mechanical hybrid trees that used enhanced photosynthesis techniques to absorb more pollution than standard trees did.

During Epsilon's uprising the brilliant reploid scientist Dr. Gaudile used this area as his base.

After the uprising, this area returned to it's purpose of helping clean up pollution.

Located SouthWest of Central Tower, this factory served to create most of the reploids and mechaniloids needed on the island (mostly mining related). Though this area also is used to manufacture reploids/mechaniloids for other cities and locations too. (Creating a nice economic boost for Giga City.)

This plant also is used to create other goods like weapons and armour.

Located West of the Central Tower, this mine is the primary source for Energy Crystals on the island.

This area was used firstly to test reploids/mechaniloids in various different environments (from blistering cold to desert conditions).

During Epsilon's uprising the environmental control was used to turn this area into a desert to conceal the communications jammer in this area.

After the uprising was over, the area was returned to a testing ground for various conditions.

The Melda Ore plant is a mobile section of Giga City that moves around and connects to the various mines to be loaded with material for processing. When half of the processing is done, this area moves and connects to the Ulfat Factory to deliver the refined ore to be melted down and manufactured.

This area is cooled to absorb heat given off any materials due to mining and processing.

The Grave Base housed a large server used by the Central Tower to store data along with several small labs for research and manufacturing parts and electronics.

During Epsilon's uprising it was used as their main base of operations. Though Epsilon's use of the area resulted in it being largely ruined.

After the uprising, the area was restored and returned to service with several upgrades.

After a massive meteor fell in 2170 and researchers recovered a sample of it, they realise the possible potential for this mysterious metal as an alternative power source. The scientists later proposed building a floating platform to help mine and study this metal. The proposal was accepted (after being turned from a simple mining platform into a full city for more venues of research and mining other valuable materials while they were there).

Then in 2172 the construction of Giga City began. Construction on the city was rather slow (partially due to an attack in 2175 that set the construction crews back several years).

Eventually the facility was completed in 2192. Soon after the mining began and scientists began to conduct research into the metals they had pulled from the fallen meteor years before.
