===== Appearance =====
Dr. Doppler typically wore a large white lab coat with two holes specially cut in the shoulders to allow his shoulder towers to poke through.

Dr. Doppler had spiky white hair that curled upwards and behind his head. 

His body was mostly grey with a red crystal right below the neck. He had a gold, shell like, raised section at the centre of his chest. His abdomen had several wires running up behind his body (connecting to the towers on his shoulders).

His shoulders were covered with red pauldrons and had two large tower like protrusions from them that connected to his back and head via wires. His fore arms were grey. He had blue hands with small openings in the finger tips (to connect to other machines).

His legs were a dark blue and otherwise plain. His boots had a dark grey rim on the bottom with a lighter grey top and a small gold plate right below where the ankle connects to the foot.

His thighs were black.

**Special Attacks**
  - Absorb Shield - This allows Dr. Doppler to absorb incoming energy attacks to refill his energy.
  - Gold Spark - Doppler fires a small golden projectile that arcs with electricity. 
  - D. Dash - Doppler covers himself in a barrier and raises himself up, then his barrier erupts into flames and he dashes.




===== Background =====
**Personality:** Dr. Doppler was incredibly intelligent. Though he was also fair. He didn't look down on other, less intelligent, people and instead chose to use his talents for good. 
He was a very caring and helpful person who tried to always better the world he lived in.

After he was corrupted by Sigma though his personality changed greatly and he began to view others with contempt and only wished to see the world taken over by Sigma.

**History:** 
Dr. Doppler was the first reploid created to be a scientist. He was very well known for his work and well regarded for it. 

One day he claimed to have discovered a cure for the maverick virus. Numerous reploids clamoured around him and were given the cure, praising him. As more gathered around, they eventually formed a town, named Doppler Town in his honour. 

However, it was not long before reploids began to go maverick in his town. The anti-virus he developed was only a placebo. (Used to gather the strongest reploids around in order for Sigma to turn them into mavericks.) When the mavericks appeared, it drew the attention of the Hunters.

X confronted Dr. Doppler and Dr. Doppler revealed he had been infected by the maverick virus and was used by Sigma to build a new battle body. X defeated Doppler in combat and because of that Dr. Doppler briefly shook off control of the virus. After regaining his sanity, Doppler also revealed that Sigma's true form was a computer virus and that it was what had infected him.
