Judge's Analysis
Close Range - Edge to Master Chief. The sword gives him a greater range and much more impressive attack power than Casshern's hands alone. Though Chief has to watch his weapon's energy reserves…
Medium Range - Edge to Casshern. The needler is a unique weapon, but it's power isn't particularly great. (It's rate of fire is though.) But Casshern's ax chop sends out an energy wave, something which could easily rip the Chief apart, if not send him flying.
Long Range - Edge to Master Chief. The sniper rifle is extremely powerful, accurate and fires a high velocity round. Casshern's side pistols are powerful, but not quite that powerful.
Special weapon - Edge to Casshern. Matter destruction beam is a devastating weapon with more range than Chief's gravity hammer.
Results
Master Chief's shields capability to absorb damage and keep Chief alive from powerful attacks coupled with Chief's ability to return significant amounts of damage at all ranges (especially long range) granted him the win.
